Making a bootable USB for Linux distributions – A little bit of everything || HOX FRAMEWORK

Writer: Hox FrameworkHox Framework

Hello and welcome !

In this tutorial you will learn how to make a bootable usb for almost any linux distribution. It is simple and all it requires is PowerISO.

Once you downloaded and installed powerISO and once you downloaded your linux .iso file open up PowerISO and under Tools tab select CREATE BOOTABLE USB drive and fill out a location to your .iso file and select your usb. You do not have to touch anything else, just click START. Once it’s done shut down your PC and enter the boot menu, to enter it you can usually press key F2 or F11 or F10 or similar when the PC is loading, before it loads windows. Once you are inside the boot menu go to BOOT tab and change the boot option from UEFI to LEGACY , then make sure your USB is first in a legacy boot row, if there isn’t anything there you might need to restart your PC one more time and enter boot again because that is the only way you can refresh newly changed settings. Once you are all done SAVE the settings and exit. Then your Linux should boot up! 🙂

Now you can install it or use it LIVE USB style.

Thank you for reading 🙂 !
